NOW AVAILABLE! SLOW HEAT by LETA BLAKE – An Alpha/Omega Erotic Romance

May 16, 2017 by Leta

JASON & VALE COLLIDE IN THIS HOT ALPHA/OMEGA EROTIC GAY ROMANCE!

Available now at Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited

A lustful young alpha meets his match in an older omega with a past.

Professor Vale Aman has crafted a good life for himself. An unbonded omega in his mid-thirties, he’s long since given up hope that he’ll meet a compatible alpha, let alone his destined mate. He’s fulfilled by his career, his poetry, his cat, and his friends.

When Jason Sabel, a much younger alpha, imprints on Vale in a shocking and public way, longings are ignited that can’t be ignored. Fighting their strong sexual urges, Jason and Vale must agree to contract with each other before they can consummate their passion.

But for Vale, being with Jason means giving up his independence and placing his future in the hands of an untested alpha–as well as facing the scars of his own tumultuous past. He isn’t sure it’s worth it. But Jason isn’t giving up his destined mate without a fight.

This is a stand alone gay romance novel, 118,000 words, with a strong HFN ending, as well as a well-crafted, non-shifter omegaverse, with alphas, betas, omegas, male pregnancy, heat, and knotting. Content warning for pregnancy loss and aftermath.

Pre-order Now Available! Angel Undone by Leta Blake – serving up playful blasphemy and religious side-eye

July 6, 2016 by Leta

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00050]
RELEASE DATE: JULY 18, 2016

Overview

The Archangel Michael is tired. He fought wars and shoved his brother Lucifer out of heaven all before the Dark Ages rolled around. His role as protector of Israel now encompasses all of humanity, and while he performs his job perfectly, there’s little personal joy in it.

Until one night in a bar when he meets Asher.

Michael isn’t sure what it is about the vulnerable, self-deprecating Asher that calls to him, but something about his restrained depths, gentle smiles, and encyclopedic knowledge of flowers tugs at Michael in a way that can’t be denied. Too bad romance isn’t part of his mission.

Facing an eternity of perfect submission to God’s authority, rebellion stirs in Michael. Questions of free will, angelic vocation, and the role of love and lust demand answers that just might cost Michael his place in heaven.

Warnings: this novella contains urban fantasy, wings, angels doing unangelic things, erotic content, religious side-eye, and playful blasphemy.

Word Count: 25,000

“Masturbation conversations became the norm at Bible Camp.” I Was A Baby Queer at Bible Camp | Autostraddle #sex #religion

June 12, 2015 by Leta

“Masturbation conversations became the norm at Bible Camp. We would take turns sharing stories about touching ourselves and touching others and perhaps even touching each other you never know. The point, it seemed, was to bring yourself to the brink of supposed moral deprivation so that you could experience the ritual of being saved. Each increasingly sexual conversation was followed by prayer, reflection, and public repentance. And admittedly, it did feel good. There was a build up and a break down. Like an orgasm, only holier.”

via I Was A Baby Queer at Bible Camp | Autostraddle.

I want to write a massive, huge, wonderful novel that’s all about this. This is so freaking true about religious groups of almost all kinds. Uh, the sexual undercurrent that is. Not necessarily discussion of masturbation.

Twice Cut! A Cut Sex Scene from Training Complex! Available at Crystal’s Many Reviewers! #gay #hawt

May 29, 2015 by Leta

Twice Cut

Part of writing is cutting the parts of the book that you may like but don’t serve the plot or pace of the story. As a book, Training Complex, the sequel to 2013’s Training Season, contains a lot of sex, but at one time it contained even more. In fact, four sex scenes were cut from the final book and I will be sharing them on various blogs over the next couple of months.
This scene was actually written for Training Season back in 2013 but was cut from that book for various reasons. I loved it so much, though, that I tried to work it into Training Complex. I made editorial changes to the setting and the situation, but, for the most part, it’s the same scene. I probably spent six hours reworking this, though, and so it hurt a little when once again it ended up on the cutting room floor.

But I present it to you now in hopes that you may enjoy it just a little and get a taste of some of what might be offered in Training Complex itself.

Psychopathia Sexualis – and other filthy books of 1900 | Darrah Glass #research #sex

January 17, 2015 by Leta

“Toward the end of A Most Personal Property, Henry and Martin have a conversation about what sorts of dirty stories they’ve read. Henry tells Martin about the excerpts James read him from Psychopathia Sexualis, and Martin relates the following:

“Oh, there was a book, Sir, that we all read in secret, though our teachers must have known we had it. I don’t know what it was called because the cover was missing—as were some of the pages, for that matter. It was very dirty, Sir! It was from England, I think, as some of the words were different than we use, and it was about a family who all had sex with one another, mothers and sons, aunts and nephews. I know that feeling you referred to, Sir, excited and sick. You don’t want to like it, but you do, in some deep way, and your prick responds just as it would to something you really want.”

There is an actual book I had in mind when Martin gives that description, and thanks to Project Gutenberg, you can read it, too.”

Santa Wishes from Characters – Matty & Rob – Training Season #gay #sequel

December 19, 2014 by Leta

A few days ago I saw this on All About the Writing:

It’s that glorious time of year when everyone whispers sweet nothings in Santa’s ear, hoping for a little extra something in their Christmas stocking. Fictional characters are no different.

So this is what I posed to my writer friends:

One of your characters is sitting on Santa’s lap, and whispers something in Santa’s ear. Who is it, and what did they say to ole Saint Nick?

(- See more at: http://www.allaboutthewriting.com/donna_j_cummings/2014/12/santa-baby.html#sthash.yzR7PW7c.dpuf)

Matty jumped up and down in my mind saying, “Oh, me! Me! I want to tell everyone what I want for Christmas.” And then all the other characters that that would be fun, too. So, here’s Day One of Santa Wishes! We’ll do Matty first since he’s impatient to tell all. Imagine him sitting in Santa’s lap–glitter, feathers, a tiara?–whatever he’s wearing it’s definitely shiny.

Matty: Dear Santa, I have been very, very, very naughty. I’ve blown our budget, lost my best skater, failed to eat lunch kind of a lot, fought with my employer and been a dick to Rob because I’m in a panic-spiral. I think that a punishment is definitely in order. Truly. I really deserve it. *taps glitter-polished fingernail against front teeth* Let’s see, I like horse whips and restraints and spankings and anything kind of rough. Oooh, being gagged is good. And a blindfold is never wrong. Of course, we already have all of those items. So, be creative, Santa. I love a good surprise! Just send me something deliciously naughty and kind of painful and I’ll be happy. Or, um, punished. Probably both. Psst, also, if you’d turn back time and make me win the gold at the Olympics, either time really, that’d be excellent and I’d swear to be a better boy next year. Maybe. But in the meantime, bring me something kinky! And really fucking difficult! *dreamily* Yes, that would help keep me in line.

Author’s note: Stay tuned this spring and you can find out what Santa brings because Matty’s kinda serious. 😛

Matty’s idea of a good present. Himself.

Rob: Dear Santa, I’ve been good this year. Again. And Matty’s been better than he thinks he has. For example, he’s been very good for me in bed. The budget thing…yeah. That’s a problem. The rest? Problems, too. But we’ll work it out. We always do. I guess if you really want to bring me anything, a winning lottery ticket so I can keep Matty in the style he aspires to would be great. *chuckles* But I guess that’s pretty damn unlikely, so just making Matty happier-than-not would do it for me. So bring him whatever he asked for and I’ll consider us square.

I think Matty would die of Christmas joy if Rob wanted to use a length of sleigh bells on him in some aggressive, sexy, strappy manner.

July 12, 2014 by Leta

“I have no words for all the emotions I feel after reading this book! Simple and to the point it was heartbreaking yet beautiful! This was my second book by Leta Blake and it was just as good as the first!!”

via Goodreads | Amanda Barnes’s review of The River Leith.

Memory is everything. After an injury in the ring, amateur boxer Leith Wenz wakes to discover his most recent memories are three years out of date. Unmoored and struggling to face his new reality, Leith must cope anew with painful revelations about his family. His brother is there to support him, but it’s the unfamiliar face of Zach, a man introduced as his best friend, that provides the calm he craves. Until Zach’s presence begins to stir up feelings Leith can’t explain. For Zach, being forgotten by his lover is excruciating. He carefully hides the truth from Leith to protect them both from additional pain. His bottled-up turmoil finds release through vlogging, where he confesses his fears and grief to the faceless Internet. But after Leith begins to open up to him, Zach's choices may come back to haunt him. Ultimately, Leith must ask his heart the questions memory can no longer answer.

Romance/Erotica Authors Lead Hotter #Sex Lives Than Most Americans, Says Survey | Digital Book World

June 29, 2014 by Leta

So much for the stereotype that women writing erotica or romance are lonely, sexually frustrated housewives/spinsters!

“For writers of romance and erotica, truth is at least as steamy as fiction, according to a new survey by the ebook recommendation site The Fussy Librarian. The 103 authors surveyed last month are overwhelmingly women, heterosexual, married and publish under a pen name. They’re no more likely to have had sex for the first time any earlier than the average American, and the survey found they’re 10% less likely to cheat on a spouse. But they do report a greater variety and incidence of intimate encounters.”

via Goodreads | Jenni Lea (Alpharetta, GA)’s review of Training Season.

Unquestionably talented figure skater Matty Marcus is willing to sacrifice everything for his Olympic dream, but his lack of discipline cost him the gold once before. Now the pressure’s on. He needs a coach who can keep him in line, but top coaches don’t come cheap, and Matty can’t afford to stay in the game no matter how badly he wants to win. When a lucrative house-sitting gig brings him to rural Montana, Matty does his best to maintain his training regimen. Local residents turn out to be surprisingly tolerant of his flamboyant style, especially handsome young rancher Rob Lovely, who proves to be much more than a cowboy stereotype. Just as Matty requires a firm hand to perform his best on the ice, Rob shows him how strong he can be when he relinquishes control in the bedroom. With new-found self-assurance, he drives himself harder to go straight to the top. But competition has a timetable, and to achieve his Olympic dream, Matty will have to join his new coach in New York City, leaving Rob behind. Now he must face the ultimate test. Has he truly learned how to win—on and off the ice—during his training season?

Sex Ed — How Young? | Getting HIV at 16, the First Time I Had Sex | HIVPlusMag.com

June 16, 2014 by Leta

I read the below article the other day and this quote really stuck out to me:

I contracted HIV the first time I had sex, a few days before my 16th birthday, on the second day of my sophomore year of high school. When it came to losing my virginity, condoms were never a thought. Yes, I knew about STIs, unwanted pregnancy, condoms — even HIV and AIDS. But I honestly thought these things happened only when you were having sex with a woman, not with a man. When it came to sex with another man, I was clueless.

via Getting HIV at 16, the First Time I Had Sex | HIVPlusMag.com.

See, I’ve worked hard to make sure my kid, age eight, already knows the facts of heterosexual sex and, because conversations have led down this path, she also knows about birth control pills and condoms. A conversation we have occasionally in our household:

Me: Hey, kid, when you are a grown-up having sex, what can you do to keep from getting pregnant?
Kid: Use birth control pills and condoms.
Me: What do birth control pills NOT protect you from?
Kid: Sexually transmitted diseases.
Me: What, aside from not having sex, is the only thing that will help protect you from sexual transmitted diseases?
Kid: Condoms.
Me: Give me five. Tell all your friends when you’re, I don’t know, twelve, okay? Tell them ALL. When you’re twelve or thirteen. And if they argue or tell you something different say, “No, you’re wrong. This is how it works.” And if you have doubts, come ask me, I will always tell you the truth about sex.

Which leads me to gay sex. She asked me about it. “Mom, how do gay men have sex? What about gay women?”

What a complicated question! I mean, I hear all the time from gay men about how anal sex is not the end-all-and-be-all of gay sexual relationships and that we shouldn’t emphasize it so much. And, hey, I didn’t tell her about heterosexual anal sex, either. I mentioned oral sex and what we could call frottage and use of hands for pleasure, but didn’t mention any butt stuff. I am trying to figure out when I should mention that. Obviously, I want to and I will need to decide how I want to talk about it, because, here’s the deal:

I want her to know deep down like it’s breathing how to keep from getting pregnant or contracting a disease. I want her to be sure and confident. I want this for her safety and I want this for the safety of her friends. So, yes, I need to make sure she knows about anal sex, condoms, and the relationship to STDs and HIV.

How horrifying that a sixteen year old gay young man didn’t know enough to keep himself safe. I don’t want that for my girl or her friends. Ever.

Porn For Women Is Pointless? Oh, Puh-lease. #sex #porn #givemeabreak

May 30, 2014 by Leta

pron

I have a lot, and I mean A LOT of problems with this article, Is Porn for Women Pointless?, (including problems with my belief in Ogas and Gaddam as decent scientists of any kind) but I’m only going to address one of them today, and that problem lies in the space around these quotes:

1) Most women, says Ogas, are “not interested at all” in visual pornography, preferring erotic texts like stories and novels. But of the 10 to 30 percent of women in Ogas’ study who did prefer visual porn, most of them “tend to like the same kind of material men are interested in, which is more graphic and hardcore. There’s a clear contrast between what activists and women in the erotic industry talk about as women’s preferences, and what women are actually looking at,” he says.

[He then goes on to say that the 30% or so of women who enjoy visual porn are looking at the same hardcore stuff as men and DO NOT enjoy the so-called female-friendly porn. FWIW, I 100% concur with this, but still find his ultimate conclusion in 3 below to be complete bullcrap. He also says that of that 30% of women who enjoy visual porn, they test as more aggressive women both in life and in bed. Uh, okay, whatever the fuck that means. *eyeroll* We’ll go with it.]

2) Angie Rowntree, the creator of female-friendly adult site Sssh.com, believes the gap between male and female porn viewing patterns has less to do with innate differences between the two sexes, and more to do with the fact that most porn has been made “by and for men.” “Is it any wonder that a relatively small portion of women wants to watch it?” she recently told Alternet. “To me, that number just speaks to the opportunity on the market for porn made with a female viewership in mind. It’s just a function of the numbers and what has been available on the market, historically speaking,”

3) “I just don’t think visual porn will ever be something that a majority of women embrace,” Ogas says. “There’s plenty of female-friendly material out there, and there has been for a while. It’s not a question of changing people’s attitudes toward [women watching porn]. It’s something more fundamental than that.”

Okay, I’m having to actively resist my huge urge to explain why Ogas and Gaddam are shitty scientists and actually just focus on what’s being said here. So…*deep breaths, deep breaths*…okay. Let’s go.

For the purposes of this discussion, let’s assume that the women I’m talking about are straight or bisexual women because I really can’t speak at all to lesbian porn preferences, since 97% of my own sexuality is tied up in various respects with men’s bodies, and most of the women I’ve talked to about porn are either straight or bisexual, too.

So, first Ogas points out that research shows that of the women who do watch porn, they aren’t digging the so called “female friendly” stuff. Righto. I concur. Female friendly stuff is so yawn worthy and boring and blahhhhh. THERE MIGHT BE A REASON FOR THAT, YO. Could it possibly be that the people making the female friendly stuff don’t actually know what kind of porn women want to see?

I’ve watched a lot of porn. There. I’ve said it. Tar and feather me, baby. I’ve watched a lot of straight porn and a lot of gay porn, and I’ve realized something important over that time. Straight porn and gay porn are shot, for the most part, in entirely different ways. And, interestingly, a lot of non-homophobic straight women discover that, hey, they kind of like gay porn better. This straight-women-liking-gay-porn thing is something that Ogas and Gaddam have also tried exploring (BADLY) by the way, but the conclusions they drew were utterly absurd and biased, and, well, vaguely misogynistic. I won’t mention that again, because, ugh, these guys are assholes. BUT ANYWAY….

Here’s what I’ve discovered about porn:

When it comes to straight porn, women aren’t necessarily any more interested in the fuzzy, narrative-heavy, “love-making” of the so-called “female friendly” stuff, any more than straight guys are. Sure, sometimes a woman might like to get off to a scene of passionate, loving sex, but sometimes she might want to get off to a scene of rough, fast stuff, or BDSM, or something else altogether. (By the way, it is always, always  erroneous to just assume that a woman or man wants in their real life what they are looking at in porn! Or what they read or what they write! Sometimes they are one in the same and sometimes, uh, NO.) But they aren’t really loving the other porn out there either.

Why is that? I would posit that women are interested in seeing a person who is really into whatever is going on in the scene (or possibly really not into it, if that’s your kink), and they’re interested in men’s bodies. Straight porn, even female friendly stuff, has forever catered to the male’s fragile ego by not concentrating much on the male in the scene. We don’t get reaction shots of their faces as they push into whatever orifice they’re putting their dick in, we don’t get visuals of their bodies, their sounds. We get a lot of noise from the girls, a ton of close-ups of the girls’ reactions, their asses and vaginas, and just about the only dick we get to see is the boring, boring shot of dick in vagina, dick in vagina, dick in vagina. *snooze*

Hmm, maybe instead of trying to make porn for women that is more narrative based, or prettier, why not just make it about what women actually want to see? Crazy concept, I know! And what is that? MEN AND THEIR REACTIONS AND BODIES! I mean, most of the straight porn I return to has a guy that is somehow really reacting to the woman he’s having sex with–trembling thighs, hands shaking, whispered, wrenched exclamations of pleasure. And it has nothing to do with what kind of scene it is: if it’s BDSM, lovemaking, rough, whatever. I just want to see the guy and see that he’s into it. Why? Because my sexual arousal is about MEN. That’s why.

Now, back to gay porn for a minute and why many women who watch it end up liking it better than straight porn.

1) It’s all men all the time. And that’s what these women want to see. Men’s bodies, their reactions, their dicks. And because the people shooting gay porn don’t know what the gay dude they’re making it for wants to see or will be getting off on, you almost always get reaction shots from both penetrated and penetrator, you get shots that show BOTH dudes are LOVING whatever the heck is going on in the scene. You get tons of visual eye candy, and, oh WONDER OF WONDERS the guys in gay porn? ARE ACTUALLY USUALLY HOT. Unlike, oh, 95% of the guys in straight porn who are usually really not hot in some way or another.

Because they don’t need to be, you see…because they’re not usually even in the shot. They just need a big dick, and, boom, the rest of the scene will be focused on the girl, so it doesn’t matter. Because it’s not about him. It’s about her–because straight dudes want to see the girl, because their orgasm/pleasure is tied up in women’s bodies, right? Well, shocker! Straight women are the opposite of that!

(James Deen, oh, you are such a wonderful exception to the ugliness rule. *sigh* Oh, and that new guy they’re using a lot lately…whose name I can’t seem to figure out. Young, pretty? Hmm.)

2) There’s (relatively) no cognitive dissonance to deal with in gay porn. As a woman, you don’t have moments of thinking, “Yeah, I’d never have an orgasm in that position. That’s stupid. And painful.” You don’t have distracting thoughts about fake tits, or ridiculous and ugly make-up and nails, or the really RIDICULOUS belly button rings, omg, what the fuck is that??? Why? Belly buttons exist, y’all. You can show them in porn!! I promise! No one’s gonna lose their boner because they saw a belly button! And if they do, they didn’t deserve that boner to begin with!

Nor do we have to think about the fact that 90% of straight porn has a 18yo with a 45yo man. (Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of gay “daddy” porn videos out there, but that is a small number, compared to the creeptastic amount of vast age difference scenes in straight porn.) And, you know what? Having an age kink in your porn viewing is fine, but it gets creepy after a while, honestly, watching all these young girls doing it with older dudes for money.

3) The guys in gay porn actually look like they’re loving it, whereas most chicks in straight porn look like they’d rather be eating a sandwich. I watched some straight porn a few days ago and I was like, “OMG she would so rather be having some ham and swiss right now, no matter what noises she’s faking.” *sigh* That was a so-called “female friendly” clip by the way. BORING.

So, do I think it is fair to draw the conclusion that a majority of women will NEVER be interested in porn because they aren’t interested in the “female friendly” fare provided for years? Nope. I think that so long as NO ONE has ever earnestly tried to make porn that is actually of interest to women with a focus on the male body and the reactions/pleasure he’s experiencing, along with showing genuine  female pleasure/kink/excitement/orgasm/interest then there’s just no way to say for sure.

So, yeah, you crappy scientists, Ogas and Gaddam, go draw your conclusions elsewhere, because they are, like so much of your work, bogus. Again.

Straight Guys Aren’t That Different… Right? – YouTube.

I love this Davy Wavy video. He cracks me up.

I lost several hours last month when I was sick watching the videos of the straight guy in this particular Davy Wavy video, and then jumping over to some other mutual friend of theirs. It was a highly unproductive day. Heh. But fun!

Crap Happens! AKA The Truth About Anal Sex #davywavy #gay #sex

February 20, 2014 by Leta

Reading a gay erotic romance novel, you’d never know that anal sex between men wasn’t clean, easy, and fuss-free. However, as the following videos with Davy Wavy attest, that’s not always (or possibly even often) the case.
[youtube=http://youtu.be/EzH5kIEGmBk?t=2m27s]

[If the above YouTube video isn’t cued to the right place, it’s at 2:27.]

It’s interesting that in the video above they are discussing the tendency of the porn industry to also present anal sex as totally poop free. From that, I think we can all concur that lots of poop on dicks isn’t considered an ideal turn-on for human beings in general. There’s a reason it’s left out of porn and erotic romance scenes.

But, as Davy points out, it does happen. That’s why many gay men douche or use enemas to try to keep it from interfering as much as it might otherwise. It’s one reason, I think, that not a single gay man who has reviewed my book Training Season has made any noise at all about the scene where one of the MCs uses an enema as part of a non-sexual BDSM scene with his boyfriend. [Perhaps that’s another topic for another day: BDSM scenes are not always sexual.] Many straight female readers, however, have really clutched their pearls over that scene.

I can’t say that surprises me. When the characters started that scene when I was writing it, I said, “Hey, guys, readers are going to hate this. Stop.” But they didn’t stop. So I wrote it. And then editors didn’t hate it. So, we left it in, and went with it. I’m glad that we did. I feel like it’s something that is real and isn’t seen in every book out there.

I remember when I was in college an older friend said to me, “You know you’re with a man who really loves you if you can take a shit in front of him and he still finds you attractive later.” At the time I pondered that comment a lot, but I do think she was on to something there. I appreciated the characters in the book going to a place that few people seem entirely willing to even think about going. The scene was intimate and intense, but not sexual, and advanced the story in an important way.

Anyway, yes, shit happens during anal sex. Porn and the erotic romance might not want to show those realities very often, but I think that there is something almost fetishistic about refusing to contemplate the potential realities associated with a certain act. And I think the fact that gay male readers haven’t found the scene problematic speaks rather clearly to the fact that they’re cool with enemas and other preparation for anal sex that might include the dreaded poo. It’s straight female readers, who often aren’t as familiar with anal sex or the prep that goes with it, who are reacting so negatively to a preparatory scene, and, well, I think that says something interesting, too. Something worth mentioning and thinking about.

Anyway, below is Davy Wavy giving some life tips from his bedroom. Two are applicable to this post: when it doubt douche it out, and shit happens so don’t buy white sheets.

7/7/7 – Everything Is Yes

July 19, 2013 by Leta

The amazing Kade Boehme also tagged me for this game. Yesterday, I answered Amelia’s tag with some paragraphs from the recently released Love’s Nest.  Today, I’ll answer Kade’s tag with some paragraphs from a current work in progress.

The rules:  Go to Page 7, 70, or 170 of a current Work in Progress or recently published work and choose either the first complete paragraph or 7 lines of dialogue to share. Paste to FB and tag 7 other authors to do the same.

Here are ten paragraphs from Everything Is Yes, a short story about diving into risk and fear. (Seven paragraphs didn’t seem to really capture the moment, so I broke the rules.)

He’d had the dreams his whole life, and they’d only ever stopped during his brief affair with David. At the time, Alex had thought it was because he’d discovered the truth about sex—it was fun, it was sometimes really good, but it was pedestrian, common, and every day.

He really wanted the kind of sex that transformed him—a phoenix from the flames.

“Yeah, that’s not how sex works,” Mandy said over her vodka tonic.

“Not with David, not with just anybody,” Alex admitted. His mind tumbled back into the dream he’d had the night before—strong arms, bristles from an unshaven face, darkness, and big hands. He’d given himself up to it entirely, body and soul, handing over his life to the hands of his partner, with no clear sense whether or not he’d get it back. “But when he comes for me, it will.”

“When who comes for you?”

“The man who makes me burn for him.” Alex always tried to remember what the man looked like, but he never could—he was just sound and touch. There was no face to search for in a crowded bar.

“You are so drunk,” Mandy replied.

And he was. But he still waited for the man who would set him aflame.

Mandy had never mentioned their conversation again, and Alex suspected she’d been too wasted to remember it. But when she harassed him to get laid, or when Alex pretended to ask himself just what was he waiting for—deep down he knew it was the dream man.

But now someone was reaching out into uncertainty, hoping by chance an answering hand— his hand—would reach back and grab hold.

Sex Research

May 13, 2013 by Leta

thumbs_sex_is_like_pizza_when_its_good_its_good_when_its_bad_its_still_prety_good

I have read some very bizarre (though interesting) sex blog/advice today while researching some sex scenes. I figured I’d share the goods with you.

1. This one is a straight guy talking about how if you want to really get a lady hot for you, then you should NEVER have an orgasm the first time you have sex with her, and maybe not even the second because then she will be very aware that you did not come and want to work that much harder next time to get you to orgasm.

As a woman, I find this advice very bizarre. If I had sex with a man and he didn’t orgasm, I admit–fair or not–it’d be a pretty big blow to my self-esteem. (Which, given that the link above is to the Pick-Up Artist site, which is all about neg hits, is probably what they are going for. But, uh, at what cost? Dude, do you really want to pass up an orgasm on the chance that by not coming she’s gonna wanna hit that again in hopes of proving she’s got what it takes to make you shoot? Really?) And I’d most likely not want to have sex with the guy again unless I was already in a relationship with him and I felt like it was just an off night for some reason. If it was a first time sex act, I’d be convinced I wasn’t his cuppa and probably just really want to have sex with someone else who did get off with me so I’d feel like I wasn’t somehow awful in bed. [BTW, not everything in that guy’s post is a bad idea. *cough* Okay? Okay. And, yes, I will see a therapist pronto about my sexual hang-ups and insecurities, thank you for your concern.]

Or so Power Bottom explains to us at length in his lovely post.

2. This post is written by a male power bottom, and while I found all of his descriptions of and information about anal sex from his point of view very helpful and informative, I found his comments about why anal sex is better than vaginal sex pretty amusing. I am quite sure that for some men anal is better than vaginal. I’m also quite sure, based on the last, oh, ten years of sex research on the internet, that for some men vaginal is better. And some men like both pretty equally just for different occasions. And some men are gay and don’t want anal at all! And some men are straight and despite having access to a workable anus if they wanted, also don’t want anal at all! It was just kinda amusing to see this guy basically be like, “Oh, yeah, all you guys who like girl parts, you are so wrong and should really come fuck me now, okay?” I am sure some bisexual guys will happily take him up on it and some will happily tell him that, yes, his ass is much better than their ex-girlfriend’s vagina. And other guys are just gonna stick with what they like, aka girl parts, and never take him up on his suggestions. And that’s okay!

3. And this man describes in detail what it feels like to fuck a girl. Also, to the author of two above, he mentions that while he likes fucking ass, he prefers the vagina. Some men just do, okay? Don’t worry, though, Power Bottom, plenty of guys will happily fuck your butt, I’m sure. Anyway, it’s an interesting description. Might as well read it.
