“Fast paced and very entertaining, the first Episode of Will & Patrick has left me wanting more.” Review: Will & Patrick Wake Up Married by Leta Blake & Alice Griffiths

November 3, 2015 by Leta

wake-up-married-banner-1

“I thought this was a really good start to the serial. Both men are clearly attracted to each other and have the same ultimate goal, but they have such polar opposite outlooks on life and how to go about things, that I can’t wait to see them navigate what’s coming. If they don’t physically kill each other first the underlying sexual tension just might do the trick! We don’t get to see them in bed, but the few memories we’re treated to and hints of some shared kinks are enough of a promise to keep me going.

Fast paced and very entertaining, the first Episode of Will & Patrick has left me wanting more. Next up, Will has to take Patrick to face the wrath of his mother.

“This book had me laughing to the point I had tears in my eyes.” Review: Will & Patrick Wake Up Married by Leta Blake & Alice Griffiths

October 30, 2015 by Leta

wake-up-married-banner-1

“OMG this book was so good!
Okay Patrick and Will meet each other one night while both of them are drunk in Vegas. Well one thing leads to another and they wake up in the morning married and sore due to the massive amounts of sex they had. Can I just say I loved Patrick’s character so much. He was just so snarky, so many times the things he would say in this book had me laughing to the point I had tears in my eyes.
So due to reasons that are beyond Will’s control they have to stay married until they can figure a way out of their marriage. So many things happen in this book that I was either laughing or feeling sad for Will because of what Ryan does to him. I loved the way the authors wrote these characters and the whole pretense of this story. So I don’t want to give away any spoilers because this book you have got to read for yourself, it was just so good! I can not wait to read the next one to see what these two characters Patrick and Will are up to next.
So all together I loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review from Inked Rainbow Reads.”

“Hats off to Ms. Blake and Ms. Vaughn because this book is perfect.” Review of Vespertine #priest #gay #rockstar

September 24, 2015 by Leta

“I loved this book, absolutely LOVED IT. I knew from the beginning that Nicky was going to make me love him and he did. This book was absolutely beautiful to read. There were tears and humor. And you could feel, from beginning to end, just how much the two MCs loved each other. Hats off to Ms. Blake and Ms. Vaughn because this book is perfect. Books about ex lovers can be painful to read because a lot of authors tend to insert an endless amount of flashbacks. Not this one. There are shared memories of course, but it wasn’t overwhelming and I never felt like it interrupted the flow of the book. I HIGHLY recommend.”

Can a priest and a rock star obey love's call? Seventeen years ago, Jasper Hendricks and Nicholas Blumfeld's childhood friendship turned into a secret, blissful love affair. They spent several idyllic months together until Jasper's calling to the Catholic priesthood became impossible to ignore. Left floundering, Nicky followed his own trajectory into rock stardom, but he never stopped looking back. Today, Jasper pushes boundaries as an out, gay priest, working hard to help vulnerable LGBTQ youth. He's determined to bring change to the church and the world. Respected, admired, and settled in his skin, Jasper has long ignored his loneliness. As Nico Blue, guitarist and songwriter for the band Vespertine, Nicky owns the hearts of millions. He and his bandmates have toured the world, lighting their fans on fire with their music. Numbed by drugs and fueled by simmering anger, Nicky feels completely alone. When Vespertine is forced to get sober, Nicky returns home to where it all started. Jasper and Nicky's careers have ruled their lives since they parted as teens. When they come face to face again, they must choose between the past's lingering ghosts or the promise of a new future.

“Leta Blake- remember her name and add her to your TBR list NOW!!!” Smoky Mountain Dreams by Leta Blake – Smitten with Reading #gay #romance

August 29, 2015 by Leta

“Wow…third time’s the charm. I think with this book, Leta Blake just made it onto my auto-buy-author list. This is the third book of hers that I’ve read and it’s the third book of hers that I’ve loved.

The book was just plain good. It moved me and entertained me and I didn’t want to stop reading from the moment I started it. It’s a really beautiful story about letting go and learning to love. And ultimately it’s a story about two men finding a family within each other. I loved it! Leta Blake- remember her name and add her to your TBR list NOW!!!”

Smoky Mountain Dreams by Leta Blake – Smitten with Reading.

Sometimes holding on means letting go Christopher Ryder and Jesse Birch are two men hanging on to the past. While Christopher has let go of his failure as a country singer in Nashville, he's still trying to please his narrow-minded, non-accepting family. His beloved Gran loves him the way he is, but Christopher feels painfully invisible to everyone else. He’s happy enough performing at the Smoky Mountain Dreams theme park in Tennessee, but even when Christopher is center stage he aches for someone to see the real him. There's more than meets the eye when it comes to bisexual Jesse. He's raising two kids and fighting with family after a tragic accident took his children’s mother. There's no room in his life for dating, his kids are his priority, and he doesn't want more than an occasional hook-up. He sure as hell doesn't want to fall hard for his favorite local singer, but when Christopher walks into his jewelry studio, Jesse hears a new song in his heart.

“Le retour de Leith est un de nos coups de cœur de l’année.” Blue Moon #gay #mm

June 5, 2015 by Leta

“These two love like no others. Bravo, Leta. Another 5 star story!” Review of Training Complex #amreading #bdsm

May 20, 2015 by Leta

These two love like no others. Leta brings that all consuming, old fashioned, From Here to Eternity feel to the love they have. Of course on a hotness scale it just explodes. SO HOT!

They have a BDSM relationship and I want to buy Leta a huge ass drink for getting it right. You want to know how BDSM works? THIS, HERE. She knows what she’s talking about. She addresses SO many issues in this book, disordered eating, depression, anxiety. And it’s breathtaking.

Training Complex is the perfect balance of angst, happiness, love, loss, and fear. Leta brings them together in a way that you are left truly content. Bravo, Leta. Another 5 star story!

“I can’t remember feeling this happy after reading a book.” Review of Training Complex by Leta Blake

May 19, 2015 by Leta

“A must read for anyone who enjoyed “Training Season”. Leta took us on an emotional journey that was at times heart breaking. In my opinion, doing a wonderful job of dealing with some pretty heavy issues.

Rob and Matty are one of my favorite book couples. These men aren’t perfect. They both make mistakes. My heart broke for them both throughout parts of this book. I love Matty very much but at times I just wanted to knock some sense into him. But their love for each other is undeniable and absolutely breathtaking!

It was wonderful to see Matty getting healthy and both of them getting happy, both individually and as a couple. The battle is always worth it in the end!

Their ending couldn’t of been more perfect! I honestly can’t remember feeling this happy and content after reading a book. It was just PERFECT!

I am a huge fan of Leta Blake. If you haven’t read any of her books, you really should give her a try!”

“I didn’t want this story to end….beautifully written.” Mark D’s review of Smoky Mountain Dreams #gay #romance

April 5, 2015 by Leta

“I didn’t want this story to end….beautifully written. The dialogue between the main characters was so realistic and believable. Having grown up on the edge of Appalachia, I found Christopher’s struggle concerning his self worth to be very believable. 5 STARS to Ms. Blake!”

While Christopher has let go of his failure as a country singer in Nashville, he's still trying to please his narrow-minded, non-accepting family. There's no room in his life for dating, his kids are his priority, and he doesn't want more than an occasional hook-up. He sure as hell doesn't want to fall hard for his favorite local singer, but when Christopher walks into his jewelry studio, Jesse hears a new song in his heart.

“Hands down the best m/m romance I’ve read yet. Furthermore, one of the best romances I’ve ever read, period.” Review of Smoky Mountain Dreams #gay #romance

March 29, 2015 by Leta

“Hands down the best m/m romance I’ve read yet. Furthermore, one of the best romances I’ve ever read, period. The characterization was fantastic, the story well fleshed out, the motivations and obstacles believable. I was really rooting for Christopher and Jesse, and I felt every hurt and loss each of them suffered with an intensity reserved for only my favorite literary protagonists.”

“Solid contemporary romance with fun sexy times thrown in.” Smexy Reviews: Smoky Mountain Dreams by Leta Blake

February 20, 2015 by Leta

“What I really appreciated about this story is the way the author takes her time telling it. So many times these days, we get category length romance stories that can be fun, but don’t always allow us to really understand the characters and their motivations. In this book, you can sit back and relax.

Recommend this one.”

Smoky Mountain Dreams Among The Best Books of 2014 – Im With Geek

February 17, 2015 by Leta

“Smoky Mountain Dreams came right at the end of 2014, following up Leta Blake’s early-year release The River Leith, and this Christmas-set romance was the perfect book to end the year on. Set around a Dollywood-esque Tennessee theme park that gives the novel its name, Smoky Mountain Dreams is a touching, sometimes upsetting romance that covers such diverse themes as failed stardom, religion, family, homosexuality, and even a debate on the right to die. What results is a complex drama, full of angst and romance, but also at times heartwarming and quite funny.

More than anything, Smoky Mountain Dreams reveals Blake as a talented author, capable of twisting between devastating tragedy, erotic romance scenes and introspective examinations of identity without missing a beat. With so many things up in the air, it is the seamless flow of the narrative that is most impressive, coupled with a flawless use of description to create a realistic and yet beautiful atmosphere in every scene. The only disappointment of Smoky Mountain Dreams is simply that it ended.”

Me, Myself & Books : Review: Smoky Mountain Dreams by Leta Blake

February 12, 2015 by Leta

“Smoky Mountain Dreams is a beautifully rendered love story, of family, heartbreak, love and finding a way to carry on even after the unthinkable happens. Jesse and Christopher are truly one of my favorite book couples and their story is going on my list of favorites. I can’t recommend this gorgeous book more. If you’re an M/M addict like me, than you definitely need to check this book out.”

USA Today Must-read romances: ‘True Pretenses,’ ‘Party Lines,’ ‘Smoky Mountain Dreams’ #mmromance #gay

February 8, 2015 by Leta

“Leta Blake takes her time in letting the readers get to know both Christopher and Jesse. They have messy pasts and messy present-day lives, and she lets everything unfold with care for the reader. Christopher and Jesse have great chemistry together — they are both mature and can handle conflict thrown their way without overreacting. I also appreciated the extra-steamy romance scenes in this one. Oh my, my, my. A very solid romance book with a lot of sexy thrown in.”

“This author has got me hook, line and sinker.” 17thSassenach’s review of Training Season #gay #romance

January 29, 2015 by Leta

“This author has got me hook, line and sinker. I am in love with this book. I was up half the night last night finishing it and Matty and Rob are still with me this morning. I can’t let go of them. Matty, in particular, has taken up permanent residence in my heart. A fictional character! The light and shadow that the author used to paint Matty was, in my opinion, perfection and made him seem so real. I saw that there will be another book.. I just hope a person can’t die of anticipation because I would be a goner.”

“I will definitely be searching out and reading Ms. Blake’s other books! Excellent job!” Dan Reviews: Smoky Mountain Dreams by Leta Blake | Love Bytes #gay

January 7, 2015 by Leta

“I am so glad I asked to review this book. Not only was it a proper length book at 425 pages…what…you think that is long? Incorrect.  It was a perfect length and it was good from beginning to end. The book was well written, expertly edited and contained a host of very believable characters. Be prepared though, I started it first thing this morning and read it all in one sitting. It wasn’t a book I wanted to put down.”

Help Will Come, But At What Price? Check out Guest Blog & Gift Card Giveaway & Fated by Indra Vaughn #gay #mmromance

January 5, 2015 by Leta

I’m so excited to have one of my favorite authors, Indra Vaughn, as a guest on today’s blog. I was lucky enough to beta read the first two books of her Shadow Mountain series, the first of which, Fated, is now available at Amazon, Dreamspinner, Barnes & Noble, ARe, and most other retail outlets!

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to be visiting with Leta Blake! *fangirls* We met last year during Rainbow Con, and I can tell you, she’s exactly as awesome as she seems.

As much as I love the holidays, I’m pretty pleased things will be returning back to normal now. And while winter will still be very long from here on out, it always feels like I’m already racing toward spring now. (Don’t accuse me of being an optimist, I have a reputation to uphold…) So! Fated, the first Shadow Mountain book. I can’t believe it’s actually here, all pretty and shiny. I mean look! *fondles cover*

Fated (Shadow Mountain Book 1)

It’s a three part series that will have its own mystery in each book, while the romance and the paranormal thread stretches over all three. Hart is a police Lieutenant in his early thirties, and he has sort of resigned himself to putting up with his younger neighbor’s endless flirting, at least until Isaac finds someone else to chase after. In the meantime he has to deal with the death of his father, dead bodies left right and center, a sassy (and awesome) Chief Inspector who he has to partner up with for a while, and some mysterious creature that haunts the Mountain. I can’t blame him for having an extra glass of wine in the evening…

Anyway, I hope you’ll check out the book if that sounds good to you, and in the meantime you can take a peek at the giveaway below.

I hope 2015 will be a good year for all of you!

[ETA from Leta: Dudes, that’s a pretty good giveaway. I’d go check that out. (Psst, it’s a gift card. For money. For BOOKS.)]

Two towns flank the looming Shadow Mountain. A dark myth of the Predator drifts through the dense trees, a tale Police Lieutenant Hart never paid much attention to.

When one unresolved death follows another—some people dying without discernible cause while others are clearly, and often brutally, murdered—he can’t ignore it any longer. Truth may lie in myth, but this one is spread to deceive everyone. The Predator exists, but he’s not entirely human. Hart will have to find the connection between the mysterious figure and victims with only one thing in common: a faint tattoo on the backs of their necks, a mark left when someone healed their incurable diseases.

Isaac Lasko has been in love with Hart since he moved in across the street seven years ago. He’s been helping Hart renovate his home, and their friendship grows more intense with the years, but Isaac can’t help wishing for a deeper bond. When he finally breaks through the lieutenant’s armor, the mystery surrounding the Predator threatens them both. Help will come, but at a price.
