“Wow, I do love this author’s amazing writing style and story lines! This was a very enjoyable read, it may be heartbreaking at times but there is plenty of humour between the characters and some great sub characters that make this a excellent read. I was wishing throughout for Leith to get his memory back and everything to fall into place but also knew the brain is a complex organ that sometimes just can not heal itself. I can’t give the story away so this is a must read!! I would really like a second book,as I would love to know what the next year or Two brings for these wonderful characters! Highly recommended!!”

“I loved this book SO much. It was just beautiful. There are so many things I want to talk about it but I think it would be pointless, I think everyone should just read it. Nicky and Jasper’s deep friendship, deep love, kindness and affection for each other made me feel so much love for them and their story. I loved the little things, like how much they joked around with each other even though emotions were to the point of painful for them at times. I played the song ‘With or Without you’ by U2 while I was reading and it gave me even more feels, I was overloaded. I loved it.”

“WOW did I really get into this book! It was everything I could have asked for in a sequel to Training Season. It was full of DRAMA and lots of kinky sex and fabulously flamboyant Matty and stern-but-kind-of-falling-apart-but-still-hot Rob and once again it’s like Leta Blake read my mind. Throughout all the highs and lows they always knew they loved each other and it was a beautiful thing to see.

Can I just mention how Leta B. always seems to manage to get the right amount of drama in a book without going over the top? Or maybe she did go over the top in this one, but it’s MATTY people! He’s supposed to be over the top. I love it!

I’m trying to remember if I disliked anything about this book, but I can honestly say that I can’t think of anything. It had just the right amount of everything that I like in an M/M Romance book, ESPECIALLY a Matty.”

My ex-fiance had a heroin problem, and I had some very traumatic experiences with him and drugs. It’s still very triggery for me, but occasionally it can be really cathartic to read or watch things that trigger those memories in a certain way. In this case, because Nicky is getting help for his addiction, it was hard to read about but ultimately satisfying.”

This is a really sweet story of love and the sex, what little of it there is, is steamy and hot!! I love how Leith slowly comes to the realization that he loves Zach but doesn’t know how Zach feels. “What an emotional journey. I felt for Zach, Marian, Ava and Arthur. How much do you tell Leith or do you wait for it come back? What would I do if my loved one saw me as a stranger? It’s amazing at how the body retains certain memory even when the cognitive mind doesn’t. I appreciate this author tackling a difficult subject with sensitivity yet conveying the sense of helplessness the characters felt. “I think I liked this sequel more than Training Season, and that is saying something considering how much I loved that book! This sequel is just…man. Everything I could have wanted and more. It’s sexy and sweet and angsty. Matty and Rob make mistakes. (No cheating, don’t worry!) They love each other, but they aren’t perfect, and I really enjoy that this book explores challenges many couples face with communication and money woes. But it’s done with unique flair, and in the end their love sees them through with flying colours. (This is a romance novel, after all — HEAs are the name of the game.) It wasn’t always easy to see Rob and Matty hurting, but it was so worth it. I was grinning like an idiot when I finished — the outcome felt so very earned. I’m admittedly biased since I edited this book, but I really did love it to bits.”

“I’ll be honest here… they had me at priest in the blurb, because forbidden/repressed love is a trope I adore. I’m happy to report that the authors delivered in spades. I absolutely loved this story. Beautiful writing; wonderful, flawed characters; off the charts UST and enough uncertainty to keep me utterly gripped. I’m not going to lie, this is an angsty read. People who know me, know that I don’t often choose angst-heavy books. And yes there is a lot of pain in this book, and it made my heart hurt as I followed Jazz and Nicky’s story and learned how past mistakes had landed them where they are at the start of the book. But there is also hope laced in every page right from the beginning. I *knew* they’d get to their happy ending, I trusted and I longed for it and it was so completely worth the ride. Gorgeous, gorgeous book. Definitely one of my favourite reads this year.”

“I loved this book, absolutely LOVED IT. I knew from the beginning that Nicky was going to make me love him and he did. This book was absolutely beautiful to read. There were tears and humor. And you could feel, from beginning to end, just how much the two MCs loved each other. Hats off to Ms. Blake and Ms. Vaughn because this book is perfect. Books about ex lovers can be painful to read because a lot of authors tend to insert an endless amount of flashbacks. Not this one. There are shared memories of course, but it wasn’t overwhelming and I never felt like it interrupted the flow of the book. I HIGHLY recommend.”

“The fine writing of this tale unequivocally blew me away. Man, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop while reading this. I thought it was going to be too preachy, and I surely didn’t want to see outright disrespect of the church or religion. I know by now I say I’ve loved a ton of guys throughout reading this genre, but I’ve only been emotionally invested in a select group of guys. Now we can add Father Jazz and Nicky.

“Normally I shy away from stories involving religion… but I love Indra Vaughn’s writing style and ever since I’ve heard she was writing a book in collaboration with Leta Blake I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

What can I say without giving away too much? I fucking loved this book, I loved Leta & Indra’s writing style, how they created these two awesome guys. I absolutely adored Jazz and Nicky.

Vespertine is a fantastic, challenging read, the romance is emotional and passionate. The pacing is excellent, the dialogue authentic and Indra and Leta’s writing style is warm and smooth, it’s like painting pictures with words. Marvelously done!

I loved everything about this story, from the interesting plot to the amazing characters. I really tried to read the story slowly, leisurely, over a few days, to savor every word… and failed. Once started I couldn’t put the book down anymore.”
